Have you ever thought about your educational leadership style?
There are a lot of ways to lead in an educational setting. Which style fits you the best?
Find your own style
Your educational leadership style is just that: it’s yours. There is not one book, article, or quiz that could perfectly define you. The quiz included below is intended to be a fun way for you to think more deeply about the ways you want to lead within education.
Before you take the quiz, take a moment to think about the influence you have in your school. Everyone has the power to support students and be a leader.
The educational leadership personas listed are by no means an exhaustive list of leadership styles in a school building.
We used a combination of classic leadership styles, combined with the real personalities we have seen ourselves while working as teachers. We came up with the following personas:
- The Mentor
- The Defender
- The Strategist
- The Instructional Leader
- The Decision-maker
Do any of these capture your leadership style at school? Take our quiz to find out!
