Introducing the team that helps make sure students in CUAA’s residence halls always have someone they can turn to in times of spiritual need.
Concordia University Ann Arbor’s Campus Ministry Resident Advisor (CMRA) program is once again returning for the 2024-25 school year! This important ministry puts students in the all-important role of providing much-needed encouragement and peer-to-peer spiritual mentoring to fellow students.
The team is under the supervision of Campus Pastor Randy Duncan, with additional support and cooperation from the Office of Resident Life. Read on to learn more about this year’s gifted and talented team!
Ambryn Diener
- Major: Bachelor of Rehabilitation Science
- Minor: Occupational Therapy Doctorate
- Bible Verse: “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my hope in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” (Psalm 143:8)
- Fun Fact: “I have played the viola for 11 years, and I play in the orchestra here at CUAA.”
- Advice for new students: “Try something new! CUAA has so many opportunities– see where God can use your talents to serve others!”
Benjamin Brenner
- Major: English (Pre-seminary)
- Minor: Biblical Language
- Bible Verse: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroys and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21)
- Fun Fact: “I am engaged to Abigail Landskroener! I have ran a marathon before, and I love reading for fun!”
- Advice for new students: “Look for where God is at work and all the blessings we are blessed with. It can be easy to feel down especially with everything going on this year and how empty campus is. God is still with you!”
Alison Roehrig
- Major: Family Life Ministry
- Minor: Education
- Bible Verse: “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” (Colossians 3:2)
- Fun Fact: “I still have a baby tooth!”
- Advice for new students: “Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and try new things. You never know what good things will come out of it!”
Jackson Miles
- Major: Family Life Ministry
- Bible Verse: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
- Fun Fact: “I wear a captains hat when I’m on my boat.”
- Advice for new students: “Be involved in the campus community.”
