CUAA’s mission in action
At Concordia University Ann Arbor, we prepare occupational therapy students who are passionately committed to recognizing the dignity of all human beings through participation in valued occupations, resilient and creative problem solvers to rise to the challenges of a changing world. It was no surprise that Assistant Professor and Doctoral Capstone Coordinator for CUAA’s Occupational Therapy Program, Dr. Nicole Onori Hansen, introduced Regina Michael Campbell to her Capstone class this fall, as Prof. Campbell is a great example of a passionate and committed OT. As one of Hansen’s former professors, Hansen was thrilled to have Campbell come to inspire the first cohort of OT students at Concordia.
A career of compassion and excellence
Regina Campbell has had a 53-year career in occupational therapy. Campbell’s volunteer service to the profession began as a state District Chair and Voting Member of the Texas Occupational Therapy Association Executive Board. She was also elected Texas’s Representative to the AOTA Representative Assembly (RA), served in the RA from 1988 to 1992, and was the AOTA Speaker of the Representative Assembly and a voting member of AOTA from 1993 to 1995. In 1996, her service and contributions to the field were recognized and she was inducted into the AOTA Roster of Fellows.
