Education and relationships blend together in meaningful ways for this CUAA student.

Kasey Uptergrove, who began her educational journey with Concordia University Ann Arbor in June 2024, has “truly enjoyed every step of the program so far.” She adds, “one of the main reasons I chose this program was its fully online format—perfect for balancing studies with work, which is so important for many students today.”

Although the classes are asynchronous without a specific day or time to meet, she says that she has been able “to build wonderful connections with fellow students and professors alike.” The online community at Concordia is one in which Kasey feels “truly fortunate and honored to be part of” because it is “such an incredible community of students and faculty.”

Something remarkable about the program is that the professors have been “outstanding—not only answering questions on nearly any topic, but also offering constant encouragement and support.” She adds that she feels, “more prepared than ever to begin” her teaching career. “The courses I’ve taken, combined with the guidance and support of my professors,” she says, “have equipped me with invaluable knowledge and skills.” And CUAA is excited for her future.

Kasey will graduate with her Master of Curriculum and Instruction with Teacher Certification in Elementary Education (specifically PreK-3rd grade)

“Everyone I’ve met has been nothing short of amazing,” says Kasey Uptergrove, who wholeheartedly recommends Concordia University for any program.

“Here, you’ll not only receive an outstanding education, but also have the opportunity to build meaningful and lasting relationships.” – Kasey Uptergrove
