Concordia University Ann Arbor invites alumni and their families to join CUAA’s Alumni Day of Service on Sunday, June 11 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
UAA is teaming up with Give 365, an Ann Arbor city-sponsored volunteer initiative, to provide hands and hearts in service to our local community. In tandem with the alumni office, this event is being organized by Melisa (Abiera) Cameron (’85), Regional Lead for Community Engagement at AT&T.
“This event is a unique opportunity for CUAA alumni to come together and serve the local Ann Arbor community, all the while reconnecting with friends and former classmates,” said Cameron.
The day of service will begin at 8:45 a.m. ET, one mile west of CUAA’s campus at Gallup Park, located at 3000 Fuller Road. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with Red Fish, Blue Fish: Teach Kids to Fish Event at Gallup Park or Give 365 Ann Arbor Park Beautification Volunteer Event at Gallup Park.
After the volunteer work, participants are invited back to CUAA’s campus for outdoor worship with Director of Campus Ministry Rev. Randy Duncan and pizza on the Riverside Patio.
Volunteers are encouraged bring work gloves and to wear comfortable, casual clothing. All other tools will be provided by Give 365. RSVP for Alumni Day of Service by Sunday, June 4, 2017.
