Aaron Halboth

Congratulations to April student of the month, Aaron Halboth!

“Aaron’s academic success is nearly unequaled, but he is also deeply involved in extracurricular activities. With a major in parish music, Aaron contributes significantly to music and band, and as a student intern at Cross and Resurrection Lutheran Chapel as part of CUAA’s pre-seminary program, Aaron assists Pastor Schindel and the ministry of Cross and Res. In class, Aaron’s probing questions make the whole class better, and his comments bring out important nuances in texts and subjects. Aaron is the definition of a student who exceeds expectations.” —Faculty Nomination

Clubs or extra curricular involvement?

I am involved in Wind Ensemble, Concordia Choir, Arborsong, Orchestra and Christian Church Workers Club.

What is your favorite CUAA pastime or spot on campus? Favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the Kreft Arts building and I enjoy playing instruments.

What’s one of your goals for 2022?

My goal is to read more books and talk to more people.

What would you share with prospective students who are considering attending CUAA?

Be prepared for a lot of work (it’s college), but also be prepared to get through it with a strong community rooted in Jesus Christ. You will grow in the faith with your friends and classmates as you learn to rely on God together.

If you could give a piece of advice to your fellow Concordia students, what would you say?

College is a time when the endless potential of your future begins to narrow into the single reality which is life. My advice would be to learn to accept reality as it comes, relying on God’s grace and aiming towards what you are called to be through that grace. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24).
