Please join us for these CUAA “farewell performances” at one of the country’s most renowned music venues.
Since 2022, the Concordia University Ann Arbor music ensembles have been blessed to annually perform at the prestigious Hill Auditorium in beautiful downtown Ann Arbor. Since it opened in 1913, this amazing venue has been considered one of the world’s great concert halls. Known for its magnificent acoustics, this 3,500-seat venue has hosted renowned ensembles, orchestras, and speakers from around the world.
Now, for the final time, you are invited to join the Concordia Choir, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble for our last-ever performance as a full music department at “The Hill”:
Tuesday, April 22 | 7:00 p.m.
Hill Auditorium | 825 N University Ave, Ann Arbor
Admission: FREE
“It has been a great privilege to conduct the Concordia Wind Ensemble since 2012, and the Concordia Orchestra since its founding in 2014,” said Dr. William Perrine, Professor of Music and Coordinator of Music Programs at CUAA. “Over the years, our student musicians have represented Concordia Ann Arbor at LCMS churches around the world, as well as giving concerts at some of the great concert halls of our nation, such as Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Center, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing arts. During my time here, we have premiered twenty-eight new pieces of music, worked with world-renowned composers and performing artists, and have been recognized with high honors by the American Prize (3rd Place Wind Ensemble, 2021; 2nd Place Orchestra, 2023).
“I will always be grateful for the opportunities that Concordia provided, as well as for the tremendous efforts of our students, alumni, and supporters who made it possible to develop a nationally recognized performing arts program at CUAA. We hope that as many of our friends and alumni as possible can come out to support our students in what will truly be an unforgettable performance.”
