On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, Concordia University will host its third annual day of giving to benefit the university’s Ann Arbor and Mequon campuses.

Titled “March MATCHness,” the 24-hour, joint-campus initiative invites the entire Concordia University community—students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and friends—to come together to advance the Concordia mission and to make a huge impact in the lives of students.

Here are six specific ways you can give on Wednesday, March 1.

1. Give … and it is magnified!

We’re not calling the celebration March MATCHness for nothing! To make things more exciting, we have a series of challenges that will magnify your gift with a matching amount. Thanks to generous Concordia supporters, your gift can be magnified through the match challenges!

See all of the match challenges HERE.

2. Give to a campaign you care about

When you give on Wednesday, you will be able to select from one of four campus-specific campaigns where you want to direct your support. You can choose from any of the below for each campus:

  • Concordia Impact Fund – Scholarships and Our Greatest Need!
  • Athletics
  • Campus Ministry
  • Fine Arts

3. Give for the first time

If you have never given to Concordia before, this is the time!  Perhaps you’ve only recently graduated or just never considered making a donation. No matter the size of your gift, if it’s $1 or $20, all first-time donors will have their gift magnified.

4. Give your family and friends a heads up

Encourage your friends and family to participate too on Wednesday. Send the link or have them mark their calendars! Every dollar matters. Every dollar is magnified.

5. Give your excitement

We’re spreading the word about March MATCHness and so can you! Join the conversation and help us build momentum using #marchMATCHnessCU.

We have an entire social media kit available for you to use with pictures and proposed text on the March MATCHness website!

6. Give your prayers

The purpose of March MATCHness is to have fun and celebrate Concordia. Bigger than that, we are raising support for our mission of developing students in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world. Your gifts help us make a difference in the lives of our uncommon students. And, most importantly, we appreciate your prayers for our students, faculty, staff and university.
