Meet Carol Piesik, the Program Director of the Physician Assistant Program!
Carol Piesik, DHSc, MS, PA-C is responsible for the planning, administration, development, implementation, organization, management, continuous review and analysis, and general effectiveness of the Physician Assistant Program at CUAA. She supervises the principal instructional faculty, Director of Clinical Education, administrative staff, and the Medical Director.
What has been your favorite part about being the PA program director?
Watching my students develop into future healthcare professionals and being proud that they represent CUAA.
How are you most likely spending your free time away from work?
Walking and listening to audiobooks, gardening, and cooking.
Favorite fun fact about Concordia?
The campus Christmas tree is refashioned into a cross and displayed outside the chapel on main campus. This change from tree to cross is a visual reminder of the seasons of our faith.
What would you choose to eat for your birthday meal?
Steak, potatoes, asparagus, and lemon meringue pie. What makes the meal special is sharing it with close friends.
What is a unique thing about CUAA’s PA program?
We have a HRSA GRANT that allow students the opportunity to explore rural healthcare through lectures as well as clinical rotation experience.
