What never fails to make you laugh?
So many things as I LOVE to laugh! (My family and students can attest to this!)
I can be pretty goofy, so when others are authentically having fun and being a little goofy, too, it will always make me laugh!
Which moment would you like to have a do-over of?
I wish I had gone to the Harry Connick Jr. concert during my freshmen year of college! The concert was the night before my German language final, and I was so focused on earning straight “A’s” that I thought it would be irresponsible to go enjoy a concert in Ann Arbor when I had a final the next day (and I was ready for that final, too, so I really COULD have gone to that concert!). That’s why when advising students, I always make sure they are striving for a healthy school – work – life balance.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
You’re asking a former voice music major this question? Oh, so many great options! One of my favorites to karaoke to in the car is “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s such a classic!
What non-existent job do you wish existed?
That’s a tough one! I think with a little imagination, hard work, and help from others, any productive but non-existent job COULD be coaxed into existence! I’m blessed to be combining my love of listening to and helping people along with my love of teaching music into a fun job combination of academic advising and vocal music teaching.
