CUAA’s new Campus Pastor has Concordia University Ann Arbor roots that run deep.

A devoted student of God’s Word, Rev. Dr. Tony Sikora has served as pastor of Hope Lutheran Church in DeWitt, Mich., for 19 years. Not anticipating this new opportunity to serve, he is glad to carry on the Lord’s message as a part-time pastor for the Ann Arbor campus this coming school year.

Getting to know your pastor

As a pastor since 1999, he loves to teach. He looks forward to getting to know the students of Ann Arbor.

“It’s exciting times, even though it’s a time of transition,” says Rev. Dr. Tony Sikora. “I want to be part of the solution, and not just somebody chirping off the side, like so many are doing these days.”

Pastor Sikora was installed at the opening service on August 25 at the Chapel of the Holy Trinity by Rev. Dr. Aaron Moldenhauer, CUW’s vice president for mission and church relations.

“We are thankful to have Rev. Dr. Tony Sikora, an experienced parish pastor and CUAA alumnus, serving Ann Arbor as campus pastor,” says Moldenhauer. “We pray that the Lord bless his work as he proclaims Christ to the campus.”

Pastor Sikora’s first official Chapel day will be August 27. He will have a table at the Student Resource Fair on September 4 for students that would enjoy meeting him, getting to know the Lord Jesus better—hearing His Word and receiving His Gifts.
