Settling the debate of which side of campus is the best.

Since the beginning of Concordia University Ann Arbor, there has been a debate over which side of campus is the best to live on. Is it the West side of campus, or the East side? Read this article to determine what side of campus you think is the best.

Why West is best

  • Close to the Caf- Living on West side is perfect when it comes to grabbing a quick bite to eat. Being close to the nest also allows you to grab food anytime.
  • The fieldhouse- West side is perfect for athletes because the fieldhouse is super close to the dorms. This way, you won’t have to worry about being late to practice.
  • Dorms are close together- Having friends on West side is great because it’s a quick walk to their dorm.
  • More parking- Ever have trouble finding a parking spot? Chances are you won’t run into that problem on West side. With two parking lots just a short walk from the dorms, West side also has a large gravel lot for all the extra room students need.

Why East is best

  • Closer to classes- One of the perks of living on East side is how close it is to your classes. Krieger and Kreft are just a short walk from your dorm. This makes it super easy to get to class on time.
  • Dorms are more spaced out Unlike West side, the dorms are more spaced out and not as uniform.
  • The Docks- Living on East side gives you more scenic views than living on West side. For example, the docks are just a short walk from any dorm on East side.
  • The Manor- The Manor is a beautiful historic building that students can also work in. Along with the Manor is the gorgeous greenhouse and a walk through a small garden.
