If you’re struggling to make summer plans or aren’t sure what to do, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with a variety of exciting activities and events happening at CUAA, as well as in the vibrant communities of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, or fun on-campus activities, there’s something for everyone.

Events in Ann Arbor:

Activities in Ann Arbor:

  • Rent a canoe or kayak at Argo Park and paddle your way down the Huron River to Gallup Park. You can also bring a tube and float lazily down the river.
  • Enjoy eating outside at one of the many Main Street restaurants.
  • Visit the Creature Conservancy and experience intimate animal encounters like feeding sloths.
  • Ann Arbor has many parks and trails to explore. Try out the Border to Border trail for an accessible hike, or try the Bird Hills Nature Area. View the various parks here.
  • Golfing season is back, and Ann Arbor offers multiple courses for all different skill levels. Two golf courses are the Huron Hills Golf Course and the Leslie Park Golf Course. You can find more golf courses here.
  • You can try your luck at catching a fish on the Huron River. If you need some gear make sure to check out Schultz Outfitters in Ypsilanti.
  • Can’t forget to try some ice cream at Blank Slate Creamery this summer!

Activities in Ypsilanti:

  • Walk around Ypsi and discover some quirky stores such as World of Rocks and ModelCave.
  • Enjoy some time in nature walking around a nature preserve or on the Border to Border Trail along the Huron River.
  • Go kayaking to Ford Lake at sunset or try fly-fishing.
  • Walk around the Farmer’s Market in downtown Ypsi.
  • This could be the summer you take up disc golf at the Throw Shop. The Throw Shop is Michigan’s largest disc golf pro shop with a FREE 30-hole disc golf course.
  • Love architecture? Take a tour of the Depot Two, Downtown, and West Cross districts.
  • Here is something for the whole family: Putterz Family Entertainment Center. Putterz has an 18-hole miniature golf courses, outdoor batting cages, a video arcade, and a snack bar.
