If you’re new to Concordia and you've been admitted for the 2022-23 academic year, you won’t want to miss a Cardinal Connection Day!
This on-campus event is specifically designed for new, incoming students enrolling for the fall 2022 semester. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend, too! Cardinal Connection Day is our chance to celebrate your admission to CUAA, give you an opportunity to engage with other future classmates, and help to prepare you for life as a Concordia Cardinal.
Students that have submitted their tuition deposit are eligible to participate in their choice of dates for a Cardinal Connection Day. Submitting your tuition deposit also earns students first privileges to register for fall semester classes.

Here’s what to do on your Cardinal Connection Day:
Connect with your academic advisor
At this point in the process, you have questions about your specific academic program and what to expect for your experience. Cardinal Connection gives you the opportunity to have an in-depth, in-person conversation with your academic advisor. In this session, you will touch base on four-year plans, the process of adding or dropping a course, and more. You can ask more targeted questions and get the assistance you need to feel comfortable with the transition to collegiate academics.
Register for classes (if you haven’t already)
Most students will have the opportunity to meet with their advisor prior to a Cardinal Connection Day and register for classes. However, if you had not yet had the chance, a Cardinal Connection Day is the time and place. Your schedule is a major piece of the registration puzzle that will feel so good to have in hand!
Explore helpful campus resources
We’ll have representatives from our most-popular and most-utilized student resources, including the Academic Resource Center, Career Engagement and Industry Relations (CEIR) office, Counseling Center, and more. These services exist to help students like you make the most out of your college experience. Connect with these resources from an official student perspective and learn how you can implement these offerings into your day-to-day life as a Cardinal.
Meet future friends and classmates
Because this event is exclusively for committed CUAA students, you can be certain that those in attendance are preparing for their life as a Cardinal–just like you! Cardinal Connection Days are a great opportunity to meet others who are in your same situation. Who knows, you might even find your future roommate!
Take care of some major “housekeeping” items
You’re not an official Cardinal until you get your Student ID! On Cardinal Connection Day, you can leave with your student ID in hand, as well as your parking pass and confirmation of your housing information and application form. While you’re here, you can also connect with our financial aid and billing offices to go over any lingering questions you may have.
Have fun!
Your Cardinal Connection Day will resemble campus events you’ll attend as a student with free food, giveaways, prizes and swag. Every new, incoming student will receive an official Concordia University Ann Arbor sweatshirt before the day is finished to help you as you start your collection of Cardinal apparel. Go, Cards!
