The Academic Resource Center has a new assistant director!
Kimberly R. Bentley, MBA is originally from Chicago, Illinois. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in business administration, she is qualified and prepared to take on this new role. Keep reading to learn more about one of CUAA’s newest staff members.
Q: What drew you to CUAA?
A: I was drawn to CUAA because it was important to me to work in an environment where my core values and service lined up with those of my employer.
Q: What are you most excited to do in this new role?
A: I am most excited to have an impact on the lives of so many students; to share my experiences with them and to help cultivate their critical thinking skills.
Q: In your opinion, what is the most invaluable resource in CUAA’s ARC?
A: The most invaluable resource in the ARC are the people! Our staff is always willing to go above and beyond to remove barriers in order to assist with the success of each student.
Q: In your own words, what is the ARC?
A: The ARC is a place for ALL STUDENTS to come for support and guidance. We provide resources that enable equal access to education and university life.
Q: If you could give CUAA students one piece of advice concerning their academic pursuits, what would it be?
A: I would advise them to never give up! Sometimes things don’t work out the way that WE planned, but they always work out according to GOD’S plan.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
A: In my free time I love to travel, read, listen to music and attend my children’s various sporting events.
Q: You’ve been here a few months now. How’s it going—and what are you looking forward to most in the fall?
A: Things are going phenomenal and I am truly blessed to be in this position! I am really looking forward to welcoming our incoming freshmen and being able to start this new journey with them. It will be an amazing experience to help guide them as they grow in mind, body and spirit!
