This fall, Concordia University will welcome spiritual leaders of the LCMS to campus for the second annual Clergy on Campus, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019.
Leaders will be given the opportunity to share their godly wisdom, dialogue with the university’s president, and experience the flow of a typical CUAA student’s day. Concordia launched an inaugural Clergy on Campus event in 2018, welcoming over 30 pastors from The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio districts to campus.
The 2019 Clergy on Campus will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, on CUAA’s campus, 4090 Geddes Road, Ann Arbor. All LCMS pastors are invited to attend.
The day will include opportunities to: meet with and offer support and encouragement to students studying to become church-workers; attend daily chapel with the Concordia community; hear updates from leaders in each of Concordia’s five academic schools; sit in on a class; and spend time in trusted conversation with President Rev. Patrick T. Ferry, PhD.

“Concordia’s mission of raising up leaders to share the Gospel with others throughout the world continues to be as relevant today as when Concordia was started,” Ferry says. “As we seek to prepare the next generation of church leaders, we look to our models within the Church to share their valuable insights and extend their support.”
A similar event will also be held on Concordia’s Mequon campus. CUW’s Clergy on Campus day will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, on the CUW campus, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mequon. Pastors are invited to attend one or both.
The CUAA and CUW Clergy on Campus days are free and include lunch and light snacks. Pastors are asked to reserve their spot by Aug. 29. Pastors’ wives are also welcome to attend. Please fill out a separate reservation form for each attendee.
