Chairman of the CUAA Board of Regents, Rev. Dr. Paul Naumann, recently announced that Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) President, Rev. Dr. Patrick T. Ferry, will be the Interim President of CUAA, succeeding Mr. Randall W. Luecke.

Following a unanimous vote by the Board of Regents, Rev. Naumann expressed his full support for President Ferry and the expanded leadership that he will bring to the Ann Arbor campus.

Mr. Luecke has served as Acting President of CUAA since Nov. 2010. Since then, he has provided an important sense of calm and stability to the campus, as well as becoming a beloved figure to the campus community and the pastors in the Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio Districts. Having recently accepted a new position in Florida, Luecke concludes his formal service with CUAA on Feb. 15.

CUW and CUAA entered into a strategic relationship last year which allows CUW to offer initial financial and academic guidance so CUAA can strengthen its programs and overall viability. Later this year the Higher Learning Commission will vote whether or not to approve the merger of the two universities. If the merger is approved, the universities will keep their respective locations and identities, but will be under the control of CUW’s President and Board of Regents.
