Concordia University Ann Arbor announces Judith Fischer Wollack as keynote speaker for Living Grace Women’s Luncheon, a Christian growth and fellowship opportunity for women, in the Earhart Manor Tent on CUAA’s campus, Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
Wollack has a unique gift of communicating love and support to children and families who have become part of the foster care, adoption and court systems. Her keynote is titled, “Today’s Children: Prayer… then what?”
“I’ve seen firsthand how Judy is able to look a youth in the eye and make an instant connection,” said CUAA’s Director of Donor and Alumni Relations Laura Thomas. “Some of these children have had troubled lives. She makes them feel as if the two of them are the only people in the room; you can see the apprehension and tough exterior melt away.”
In 2009, Wollack became the CEO at Wolverine Human Services, the largest child welfare agency in Michigan. In addition to her work at Wolverine, Wollack is a Trustee on both the Eastern Michigan University Foundation and the Concordia University Foundation. She is also President of the Association of Accredited Child and Families Agencies (AACFA), working with state law makers to best meet the needs of Michigan’s children.
“If anyone knows how to talk with a young person, it’s Judy,” said Thomas.
