Earlier this year Gretchen Jameson joined the University as Vice President of Strategy, Culture, and External Relations.


She previously work as Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications for Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, Missouri and in 2010 she launched her own public relations consultancy firm, purePR.

The primary function of this new role, which serves both Concordia University Ann Arbor and Concordia University Wisconsin, will be to directly support the vision of President Rev. Dr. Patrick T. Ferry by leading the strategic experience and broadening the value both internally and externally of both universities.

“By creating a position focused on strategy and culture, President Ferry and his leadership team are showcasing their vision and unwavering commitment to fulfilling the University’s critical mission in a time of tremendous change and challenge,” said Jameson.

Jameson is a 1997 graduate of Concordia University Nebraska, which named her the Young Alumnus of the Year in 2010. She also holds a master’s degree in public relations from Webster University in St. Louis and was recognized as a distinguished alumnus there in 2012.
