What is one food you’d never be able to give up?
French Fries!
Do you have a favorite holiday? Why or why not?
My birthday! 08/08. Perfect date!
What’s the phone app you use most?
Tik Tok (shamefully)
What’s your love language?
It used to be gifts, but after my father’s passing I really value quality time.
What’s your most prized possession and why?
Family pictures
Do you collect anything? Or do you have any unique hobbies?
I am currently re-teaching myself French and writing a short story!
What’s something an outsider would be surprised to know about your job?
It requires a LOT of hours sitting at a desk!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
I’ve recently learned the true definition of confidence (in the world of psychology) and it’s really stuck with me: confidence is the ability to remain true to who you are in all situations. No matter if you’re angry, sad, happy, or in the middle.
Who was the first person to make you feel welcomed at Concordia?
Dean Rathje! He is my direct supervisor and favorite person. 10/10.
Your favorite “brag” about your hometown (either your birth home or where you currently live).
I love how Ann Arbor gives off big city vibes but isn’t particulary a big city. You get the hustle and bustle feel without having to actually live in a major city!
What excites you most about your work at Concordia?
I would say shaping campus culture and redefining what the college experience is for college students. We get to set the tone in the Department of Student Events. It’s full of wonder and curiosity. Practice and student development theory. Not to mention all the free stuff I get to grab! This is by far my favorite job and favorite institution I’ve worked at!
