What makes a CUAA education so special? There are many answers to this question, but time and again, the responses we hear most often have to do with the familial and caring atmosphere that’s fostered here.
We want to give prospective students a taste of that personal care, even before they officially enroll at Concordia. To help with that, we launched a new program this school year, called TOUCHPOINTS.
In November, we held our first Touchpoint Days. Essentially, we invited all faculty and staff to personally address and handwrite notes to the hundreds of students who have applied to CUAA for the 2022-23 school year but have not yet committed. Over the course of two days, more than 60 employees stopped by to receive a prospective student name, and nearly 400 cards were addressed!
We know this effort makes a difference. A mother of a prospective freshman connected with some of our employees at the Indiana District Teachers Conference and was so thrilled to share that her son had received a card and made a commitment to CUAA that same morning.
Now, we want to involve you in the effort! We know from our spring 2021 Alumni Attitude Survey results that our alumni want to serve as ambassadors promoting CUAA to others. This was one of the top responses we received from those who participated in the survey.
This month, we will host our second Touchpoint effort, called TOUCHPOINT: ALUMNI AMBASSADORS.

Here’s how it will work:
- We’ll provide you with the name of a student who has applied, but not yet committed to CUAA for 2022-23 year. We’ll strive to match you with a student who has similar career interests as you.
- We’ll provide you with talking points, sample messaging, and other helpful resources to make your outreach easy.
- You’ll make a touchpoint: Write a handwritten note, make a phone call, send an email, or other outreach effort.
That’s it! Please take a moment to sign up here by January 21 if you are willing to complete a touchpoint with a prospective student and share why you loved your CUAA experience! Once January 21 has passed, we will email you a prospective student’s name.
