Sixty-eight graduates will receive diplomas during the December commencement at Concordia University Ann Arbor on Sunday, December 15 at 2 p.m. in The Chapel of the Holy Trinity, 4090 Geddes Road.


Dr. Gerhard H. Mundinger, Jr., M.D. will deliver his commencement address to 22 master’s degree and 46 bachelor’s degree candidates. He has more than 35 years of experience in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, and holds an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Concordia University Wisconsin. The current Chairman of the Board for the Concordia University System in St. Louis, Dr. Mundinger received his medical degree from the University of Colorado, earning magna cum laude distinction. His cardiothoracic surgery fellowship was completed at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Micah Penhallegon, a Justice and Public Policy major from Milan, Michigan, will present the student address. All graduates will be receiving up to eight tickets on Monday, November 25 during Countdown to Commencement held by the academic office and Career Engagement and Industry Relations for all December graduates.

The chapel will open for seating an hour before the 2 p.m. commencement start on December 15. Graduates, friends and families are invited to attend a complimentary reception in the Cardinal Cafe from 3-4:30 p.m. following the ceremony.
