There are a number of reasons why potential students may convince themselves not to apply to Concordia University’s Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) Program. As a faculty member of this unique program, I’m here to share why you should take the plunge and apply.

If you don’t apply, you’ll never know if you’ll get in. If you are accepted, you’ll have the power to decide if this is the right program for you. Plus, during the application process, you’ll have the chance to meet interesting faculty and staff who will share information about the program, the university, and will have great insights and career advice that will help you, no matter the outcome. We want to get to know you, support you, and help you achieve your professional dreams.
Reason 2: The career outlook for business leaders with advanced degrees is a hot market
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, employees with doctoral degrees earn higher salaries than those with master’s degrees. Need I say more? Who wouldn’t want to earn an esteemed degree and be the best of the best in their fields? Professionals with a doctorate degree learn how to think critically, conduct research, and truly become an expert in their fields.
Reason 3: Program flexibility
The hybrid program is the best learning format for busy professionals. We are all busy with careers, families, participating in our communities, etc. DBA students will have the opportunity to meet on-campus during two brief residencies, at the beginning of the first year and the beginning of the third year. Here, you will have a chance to meet your peers and really build connections. The courses will be online, but throughout those online courses, you and your peers will meet virtually with the professor to have meaningful conversations and connect. You’ll also get to meet with your research advisors on a regular basis.
